Kneeling down by the railroad tracks with my camera by my side in the small town of North, South Carolina waiting for the moment that the moon will cover the sun.
Crikets start singing, birds flying, temperature dropping and the lighting shifting every second as the sound of applause echoes through the air as the clouds move out of the way to reveal the moon completely covering the sun. Tears of joy begin welling up and I almost forget I have a camera and for a second how to use it. Happy to be on this journey with my friend who is also a photographer. So many things had to come together for this to happen. Some were in my control and most of them were not. If you look closely you can see some of the solar flares.
